2021 SEASON OPENER
After an extended hiatus from racing the #71 Super Cab Taxi/ Medicine Tree/ McCutcheon Fence/ MAC Welding/ SRC Motorsports/ Kadi Hurlburt Photography American Classic was finally back in action. Frequent rain showers gave us track conditions we were not familiar with so we took a shot in the dark for setup. Qualifying showed us that we were close but lacked overall speed qualifying 8 of 11 starting us p4 for the heat race. Started outside row 2 in our heat until an early spin put us restarting outside front row. After racing for the lead for a few laps another caution came out. Unfortunately we lost a belt during the caution and were forced to retire the race. After much work by the crew we were able to get the car repaired just in time for the main event starting outside row Four. After a decent run in the first half of the main event a caution was brought out. Restarting sixth place outside our teammate Robert Summerhalder we were able to sneak past him and running side by side with the third place car of Jake Meyers we were able to finish P4. It was promising to see the consistency the car showed through the night.
